Maniratnam’s magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, which hit the screens recently, is posting solid numbers in India and overseas as well. The movie has been well received by the audience worldwide.
The latest news is that Ponniyin Selvan 1 crossed the $4M mark in North America. The total gross, so far, is $4,007,083, with the flick collecting $697,534 from 464 locations on Sunday.
Not only in the USA, but Ponniyin Selvan 1 has also posted good numbers in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. It is also heard that the movie surpassed Rs 200 crore worldwide on its 3rd day of theatrical run and grossed Rs 230+ crores in 3 days.
