Maverick Director Mani Ratnam’s dream project ‘Ponniyan Selvan’ has finally been made and released in 2 parts. This movie though got good response in Tamil Nadu, didn’t go well with Telugu audience.
With stellar cast members including Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha and others, the movie didn’t give more attention to any of them. The thought of giving equal screen space to all actors must have been the reason.
Earlier, Mani Ratnam planned to make the movie with Tamil and Telugu stars together. It was reported that he approached stars like Mahesh and Ramcharan but they declined the offers.
Now, Telugu audience after watching the two parts of the movie are said to be happy for their stars not accepting the project.
Meanwhile, the director is set to work with Kamal Hassan for his next movie.
