Noted Telugu lyricist Vennelakanti Rajendra Prasad has died due to cardiac arrest, say latest reports.
Vennelakanti breathed his last a short while back after he was rushed to a private hospital in Hyderabad.
Vennelakanti debuted as a lyricist with Murali Krishnudu which released back in 1988. He later worked on films like Aditya 369, Criminal, Samarasimha Reddy, Takkari Donga, etc.
The well-known lyricist’s sons Shashank and Rakendu Mouli are active in Telugu film industry now. While the former works as dialogue writer for dubbed films, the latter made his debut as an actor with Moodu Mukkallo Cheppalante.
Vennelakanti last worked on Penguin, which released early this year.
