Sharwanand will next be seen in rural social drama ‘Sreekaram’ which is said to be based on farmers and the troubles they face. He has lined up a series of films after ‘Sreekaram’ and one such film is ‘Maha Samudram’.
‘Maha Samudram’ will be directed by Ajay Bhupathi of ‘RX 100’ fame. Initially, Ravi Teja, and Naga Chaitanya were approached to play the lead role in the film but neither of them came on board. Now, Sharwanand who is impressed with the storyline gave his nod to the project.
If the latest reports are to go by, the makers of ‘Maha Samudram’ are planning to rope in Divyansha Kaushik for the female lead role. Ajay Bhupathi has apparently narrated the story to Divyansha recently and she agreed to star in the film.
Divyansha made her debut with Naga Chaitanya’s super hit film ‘Majili’ and was not seen in a Telugu film ever since. She feels that an anticipated film like ‘Maha Samudram’ will give some much-needed boost to her career.
Previously, Sai Pallavi, and Aditi Rao Hydari were in consideration for the female lead role but they were not finalized for unknown reasons. If everything falls into place, Divyansha might be bagging the role now.
Rumors are rife that Siddharth who is currently inactive in Telugu film industry has been roped in for the project.
