After International pop sensation Rihanna tweeted supporting farmers, several celebrities in India strongly condemned the interference of the outer in the internal matters of India.
Earlier in the day, Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu had made an indirect comment about the outcry that Rihanna’s remark on the farmers’ protests evoked.
The actress tweeted, “If one tweet rattles your unity, one joke rattles your faith or one show rattles your religious belief then it’s you who has to work on strengthening your value system not become ‘propaganda teacher’ for others.”
Taapsee’s tweet was obviously a reply to the many celebrities who’d made a call for solidarity using similar social media hashtags on Wednesday.
However, actress Kangana Ranaut, who once called Taapsee a ‘B grade person’, has once again lashed out at Tapsee by writing, “B grade people have a B grade mentality, one should stand up for one’s faith motherland and family. This is our duty…don’t be a freeloader… don’t be a burden on this country… that’s why I call them B grade … ignore them, freeloaders …”
Taapsee and Kangana have been in a war of words ever since the Queen actress called her a B grade actresses. It remains to be seen to what extent this Twitter war goes.
