Ever since India declared that the vaccines ‘Covaxin and Covishield‘ are ready to be given to the people, many countries have lined-up urging the Centre to share the vaccines with them. The rapid production of Coronavirus vaccines in India has been hailed by many global leaders.
On February 1, India sent the Covid-19 vaccine to South Africa. In this regard, Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar posted a photo of an aircraft that landed in the country with ‘Made in India’ vaccines on his Twitter account. Responding to this, former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen tweeted, “Indian generosity and kindness grow more and more every single day. The beloved country!”
After the English cricketer hailed India, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi responded to the former tweet and said that the world is our family.
“Glad to see your affection towards India. We believe that the world is our family and want to play our role in strengthening the fight against COVID-19,” Modi tweeted.
India has already provided vaccination to nations like Bhutan, Maldives, Bangladesh, Brazil and Nepal.
Glad to see your affection towards India. 🙂
