For the better functioning of the government and for the welfare of the people, the constitution of India states that the legislature and judiciary, along with the executive body, should all work together. When there’s no proper balance between them, there’s an inherent disturbance in the way things work. The same thing seems to be happening in Andhra Pradesh right now, with the Andhra Pradesh High Court and the AP government on different sides.
The AP High Court ruled a few months ago, that Amaravati is the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh, thereby putting aside the three capitals bill introduced by the AP government. Everyone thought that the government would abide by the AP HC’s verdict, but the AP government doesn’t seem to have even acknowledged this, with AP CM Jagan going on asserting his 3 capitals concept at every chance he gets.
Jagan even spoke about the YSRCP government’s plan of developing the state like no other state in the country, with its 3 capitals plan. He said that the 3 capitals would come into effect no matter what and that all of them are very much key to the proper development of the state, as stated in the decentralization bill.
