While all the exit polls of the national media channels have predicted BJP government at the Centre, the regional parties across the nation are making vigorous efforts to form non-BJP front.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister KCR were in support of non-BJP front. But YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy is maintaining a strategic silence on it, which is what worrying the other parties who are in support of non-BJP front.
As Jagan’s voice would add a good strength to the front, Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar has called him over the phone and sought his support to the non-NDA alliance. But Jagan has not given any commitment and instead said that he will decide after the election results that are scheduled to be out on May 23rd.
The telephonic conversation between the duo has now become the talk of the political circles. As exit polls have predicted the victory of Modi, the YSRCP Chief is not in a mood to take any risk, before the elections, as it would be tough for him, if at all his party forms the government in Andhra Pradesh after the election results. So it seems, Jagan is thus playing a safe game, by holding both the non-BJP front and also being in the good books of BJP.
