India’s most prestigious cricket series IPL is all set to entertain audience from UAE, this year. Generally, IPL happens in India but due to the raise in Covid-19 cases, BCCI decided to opt for a location outside India to conduct the series. IPL season will start from September 19th and will continue till November 10th.
Even though BCCI has plans to conduct IPL in UAE from the past few months, the organization has been waiting for the green signal from the Indian Government. After taking everything into consideration, Indian Government gave green signal for IPL and BCCI started the arrangements.
Each franchise has been given permission to send 24 players to participate in the IPL considering the Covid-19 situation and the matches will be conducted in various stadiums across UAE. This year BCCI came up with an innovative thought of launching women’s cricket as well with three women cricket teams set to compete against one another. More details will be revealed to the public soon.
