Another Indian origin has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a world popular company.
Laxman Narasimhan, who is a graduate from the University of Pune, has been named as the new CEO of coffee giant Starbucks. The 55-year-old is succeeding American entrepreneur and author Howard Schultz as the CEO of Starbucks.
The company said that Mr Narasimhan will join Starbucks on October 1 but will be given control in April 2023. Until then, interim CEO Schultz will continue to lead the firm and the Indian community CEO will work closely with him through April 1.
Mr Narasimhan was the CEO of Reckitt, besides working at PepsiCo as its global chief commercial officer.
