After Kurnool, Guntur is picking up on the number of Covid-19 cases. In Guntur, Narasaraopet is turning out to be the main red zone with highest number of cases in the district. Out of the 362 cases in Guntur, 163 are from Narasaraopet. Around 10 to 15 new cases were being seen in Narasaraopet region every day.

To control the situation, AP Government decided to start ‘Mission 15’ with the target of zero Covid-19 cases in Narasaraopet by May 15. This can be considered as an inspiring move as a fixed date will give the citizens and the healthcare workers some motivation to reach. Around 59 clusters were identified in Guntur district and the officials were keeping a track of each and every detail.

Officials mentioned that the lock down will be followed in Guntur district till 17th of this month and the home essentials will be sent to the homes directly by the concerning volunteers. Lets hope that the situation gets controlled by 15th.
