Kodama village tribals in Girishikhar, Salur zone of Vijayanagaram district have told MLA Peedika Rajannadora that they will join Odisha if there is no road laid to their village. Recently, the tribals from Kodama gathered at the MLA’s house.
When the MLA came to their panchayat on September 9 last year, he assured that the road will be laid within 70 days from Chintachettu junction to Kodama.
As three months have passed and the road works have not started yet, the village tribals have started protesting.
They said that the Odisha government has already laid roads to Odisha villages adjacent to their village.
MLA said that the forest department had not given permission for the commencement of road work and he assured them that they will get the permission soon.
