Recently, the experimental tests on the Chinese vaccine have shown that the public sector Sinovac vaccine from China has only 50.4 percent efficacy. This was announced by Brazilian researchers.
Generally, a vaccine should be at least 50 percent effective to get approval. Now the China vaccine has only crossed that 50 percent mark.
The results have left the Brazilian government deeply disappointed. “It’s a good vaccine, but it’s not the best one in the world.
At the same time, it’s not even ideal,” said microbiologist Natalia Pasternak.
