IAS toppers Tina Dabi, Athar Khan granted divorce

A family court in Jaipur has finally granted divorce to IAS officers Tina Dabi and Athar Khan on Tuesday. Both had applied for divorce in November last year with mutual consent. They filed the application just two years after being together.

Tina Dabi and Athar Khan, who topped the 2015 Union Public Service Commission exams, have fallen in love and married. Dabi became the first person from the Dalit community to top the civil services examination. The couple met for the first time during their training for the IAS and became a pair.

Tina Dabi was the first ranker, while Athar Khan from Kashmir was second. They got married on April 7, 2018, in J&K’s Pahalgam. The wedding was a high-profile ceremony attended by many senior politicians, officials and celebrities, including Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu. It was hailed as a symbol of communal harmony by many politicians.
