Gunashekar planning periodic film with Mahesh Babu?

It is all known that Tollywood ace director Gunashekar, who is known for his periodic drama’s like ‘Rudramadevi’, is coming up with ‘Shaakuntalam‘ with Samantha Akkineni.

The Anushka Shetty starrer had received a good response from the audience and the director took a break and penned Hiranyakashyapa for Rana Daggubati. However, the film has been delayed due to the pandemic outbreak.

In the meantime, the talented director has started working on Shakuntalam. The film has also been on hold due to the current situation in the country. Utilising this Covid break, the director has penned yet another periodic story titled Prathapa Rudrudu.

Prathapa Rudrudu is said to be the grandson of Rudhramadevi. The director is considering Mahesh Babu to play the lead role in this film. If not Mahesh, he is in a plan to rope Rana Daggubati for Prathapa Rudrudu as well.
