Google Pay has introduced a new feature for its American users. The company has made it possible for Google Pay app users to send money from the US to Indian and Singaporean users.
To this end, TechCrunch has published a report stating that financial services companies have entered into agreements with Western Union and Wise Companies to provide these facilities to consumers.
Google Pay also said that in the wake of financial services companies entering into a cash transfer agreement with the Western Union where US users could now have the facility to send money to another 200 countries and 80 countries via Wise.
“By the end of the year, we expect that US Google Pay users will be able to send money to people in more than 200 countries and territories through Western Union and to more than 80 countries through Wise,” said Google in its blog.
The company said that it has added this feature to the app to make the process of sending money abroad more accessible. There are no additional fees or transfer fees for sending money from Google Pay via Western Union. However, if you send money from Wise, you will be charged a foreign exchange rate and a transfer fee.
