A huge scam has come to the limelight in the name of tenant farmers in a national bank (Andhra Bank Union Bank) in Ambajipeta in East Godavari district. Some unknowingly took loans of lakhs of rupees in the name of tenant farmers.
Revenue officials have issued tenant cards to them without informing the farmers. Even though there were loans in the co-operative banks on those lands, the bank officer gave the additional loans to those tenant farmers. Some of the landowners shocked to know this matter.
When asked, the bank officials gave an answer which is not acceptable. The affected farmers are concerned about this and the landlords are preparing to lodge a complaint with police over this scam.
