Etala Rajendar and T Harish Rao were thick friends, who shared the same opinions and thoughts on almost everything, until Etala’s exit from the TRS, which was a much-publicised affair. Post that, Harish Rao was entrusted with leading the TRS to victory in the Huzurabad by-polls, by Chief Minister KCR. This was because Harish Rao is often considered to be KCR’s troubleshooter, who often steps in to save the day wherever it feels necessary.
While Harish Rao did his best, and went all out against Etala, upon KCR’s instructions, in an attempt to lead the TRS to victory in the Huzurabad by-polls. However, despite all of his efforts, Etala, representing the BJP, won with a good majority in Huzurabad.
Following his victory, on his way to Hyderabad on Diwali day, in Siddipet, Harish Rao’s constituency, Etala said that one day Harish Rao would fall victim to his own practices, and by aligning with injustice. He even challenged Harish Rao, saying that he would hold a meeting with all the Dalits of Siddipet, indirectly saying that he would take away Siddipet from Harish.
