Employees of Telangana power companies have made a massive donation to the chief minister relief fund (CMRF) to aid with corona outbreak. The employees and pensioners of Telangana Zen Co, Trans Co, SPDCL and NPDCL (all 70,000 people) have donated a day’s wage summing up to Rs.11.40 crores. The check for this purpose has been given in the presence of chairman and managing directors of the four companies and the leaders of various electricity employment unions.
Gen Ko – Trans Co CMD Devalapalli Prabhakar Rao on Wednesday presented to the chief minister KCR at Pragati Bhavan. SPDCL, CMD Raghumar Reddy, NPDCL CMD Gopala Rao, Trans Co JMD Srinivasa Rao, Director Suryaprakash, leaders of various trade unions Shivaji, Ratnakar Rao, Anjayya, Beezi Reddy, Saibaba, Ganesh, Rameshwara, Sankarajay, Prakash, Vasu , Sharif et al have attended the fund raising event.
Chief Minister KCR congratulated and was quite impressed by all the employees for coming forward with such a heart warming initiative during the difficult times and also appreciated for their utmost dedication in providing power for 24 hours. All employees are donating their one-day wages to the government as an aid, ” he said in a press meet.
