Former TDP working president and one of the state’s most senior politicians Kala Venkata Rao lashed out Jagan Mohan Reddy and his government over the demolition of Gitam University by the YSRCP government. Venkata Rao simply commented that this is the most destructive government he has ever seen in his decades of political career.
It is known that Jagan’s government has previously destroyed several buildings and Praja vedika in Amaravati and some constructions near the Krishna basin. Now, Venkata Rao termed the destruction policy of Gitam University is nothing but an act of vengeance. He severed the Jagan’s government that no notice was issued to the university previously.
Kala further stated that no court order was issued and this shows us how vengeful the government can get. ” Gitam University is renowned for imparting standard and quality education. The university has been producing quality students required for the job market,” this Kala Venkata Rao added.
This incident happened on Friday night and the visakhapatnam’s Geetam’s University’s compound wall was demolished saying that it was built illegally in 40.51 acres of government land. However the University authorities claim that no prior notices were issued by the GVMC officials before the demolition.
