Speaking at the pre-release event of Love Story, Chiranjeevi, who attended the event as the chief guest made an honest request aimed at YS Jagan and KCR.
“Telugu cinema doesn’t have a great success rate. The success of a few films isn’t indicative of the industry’s financial prospects. Cine workers faced a lot of trouble during the Covid-related lockdown,” he said.
Chiranjeevi requested the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Jagan, and KCR respectively to address the requests submitted by Tollywood representatives.
“Cinema actors are the first ones to respond whenever there is a calamity. Now, the industry is in trouble and it is high time that the governments of the Telugu states take the same into notice and do the needful,” Chiru said.
“We aren’t asking this to fulfill our personal greeds, but out of great necessity,” Chiranjeevi stated. Chiru’s thoughtful and honest speech at Love Story event stood as a special attraction.
