In view of uncontrolled surge in covid-19 cases during the second wave, centre took cognizance of the situation to introduce an awareness drive for the second time. After a review spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself, the Centre declared a strategical anti covid drive campaign to create awareness about Covid-appropriate behaviour at workplaces, health facilities and other public places from April 6 to 14.
The government affirmed that a marked reduction in being accordance with safe practices such as wearing masks and maintaining social distance could be the reason for the steep rise in infections.
