With a recent spurt in the cases in Maharashtra, many B town celebs who dwell there have also succumbed to the second wave of Covid-19.
Yesterday morning Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar who was filming for Ram Setu, took the initiative to share that he tested positive for covid-19 on Instagram account with a note that he tested positive for COVID-19. He affirmed, he had immediately isolated himself and is under home quarantine with medical supervision. Akki assured that he would be back in action very soon.
The very next day in a shocking twist, 45 junior artistes on sets of Ram setu too have been diagnosed with COVI-19. FWICE (Federation of Western India Cine Employees) General Secretary Ashok Dubey shared the news and stated, “Ram Setu has been taking full precautions. It is really unfortunate that 45 people from our Junior Artistes Association have tested positive. They have been quarantined.”
Following the incident, the team halted the film shoot. Ram Setu, which is bankrolled by Cape Good Films, Abundantia Entertainment, Lyca Films and Prime Video jointly, also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha in key female roles.
