The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), the national administrative body for pharmaceuticals and medical devices, has allowed Ayurveda, homeopathy, and siddha professionals to direct research at covid-19 isolation centres with a motto to help comprehend the infection.
In a notice announced a week ago, the Ayush ministry stated: “Indian customary drugs have wide potential for utilization in such conditions inferable from their longstanding use in the community, old references, and clinical viability. In this manner, it is crucial to put forth genuine attempts for the improvement of medications dependent on any Ayush frameworks perceived under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940. The service has contacted the Drugs Controller General of India.”
Integrated medical expert and member from Ayush Task Force, Dr. Issac Mathai, said Indians have bodies with strong resistance. Our presentation to infections is more common than in the West.
