Due to the lockdown, there had been no alcohol available anywhere. Many alcoholics have been eagerly waiting to grab alcohol just like a wild tiger, which prowls to pounce on it’s prey. Finally the central government has brought the much awaited good news for the desperate alcoholics.
The centre has given a nod to open wine shops soon. Under the Green Zones, liquor stores will make alcohol available. The central government has indicated that pawn shops and liquor shops will be permitted to function within the green zone. Nonetheless, with an exception that there should be no more than 5 individuals near the belt stores.
The five individuals should however be instructed to ensure that there is a distance of two metres between each other. In this regard, Telangana government also arranges to open wine shops in a limited number of green zones and the officials are in talks to decide which area has to be relaxed from the lockdown. After a careful consideration, nine districts in Telangana have been declared green zones.
Alcohol sale in the following districts is likely to be enforced:
Nagar kurnool, Muluga, Periyapalli, Bhadradri, kothhagudem, Siddipet, Mahabubnagar, Vanaparthi, Warangal Rural and Bhuvanagiri have been declared as corona free districts. The government plans to grant permission to open wine shops in these districts with certain restrictions.
Wine shops are only open from 7 am to 1 pm. In AP, only Vijayanagaram district solely falls in the green zone.
