The Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has created ripples among the Indian citizens and led to the severe violence in the national capital Delhi and other parts of the country.
Super Star Rajinikanth who had maintained utter mum all these days has finally opened up on the issue. He tweeted, “I appeal with national security in mind that all Indians ought to be united and vigilant. I am pained at the ongoing violence. Violence and clashes shouldn’t become the path for resolving issues.”
The tweet has received a divided response among the citizens with a few opposing with the hashtag #ShameOnYouSanghiRajini and few others supporting it under #IStandWithRajinikanth hashtag on the Twitter. But a majority of the public went against the Super Star saying that he is backed by the BJP.

Rajinikanth has faced numerous criticisms in the recent times. He was heavily trolled for denying to answer in Darbar trailer launch function about violence that took place in Jamia Millia Islamia campus. It seems that the situations of this sort are putting the huge Super Stars like Rajinikanth in dilemma as both staying silent or giving response has been leading to the outrage.
