Friday’s Bharat Bandh, from 6 am to 6 pm, is continuing peacefully across the country. The Bandh is being supported by the AP government, TDP, Congress, Left parties, BSP and others.
Today Bandh marks the completion of four months of the farmer’s agitation. Farmers across the country have been agitating along the Delhi border, demanding repeal of the new farm laws brought by the Center.
As a part of the Bandh, the RTC buses were restricted to depots. Business and commercial organizations are voluntarily closing and cooperating with the bandh. Owners have announced holiday for private educational institutions. On the other hand, passengers are facing severe difficulties as bus services have come to a standstill.
Leaders of the Left parties in AP have taken to the roads to protest against the privatization of the steel plant, the hike in petrol and diesel prices and the new farm laws. They staged a protest at Maddilapalem junction in Visakhapatnam. Protests are being held across the state.
