It is known that a few days back, the APSRTC (Andhra Pradesh State Road Transportation) has decided to open the online booking of the tickets for Super Deluxe and Super Luxury buses to distant places from April 15th. This decision was criticized by many people as the COVID-19 cases are piling up in the Telugu state.
On 5th April, the APSRTC has allowed the people to book tickets but on Thursday, they have halted the ticket bookings. Many media reports came out that there will be an extension of the lockdown by the center as no state official is favoring the lifting of the lockdown restrictions.
Odisha who took a step forward on their own has extended the lockdown till April 30th. Keeping these things in mind, the higher officials of APSRTC gave a second thought about opening the bookings. From April 5th, approximately 45,000 tickets have been booked from various sites and the APRSTC is thinking to refund the amount to their customers.
On the other side, KCR also categorically said that there will be an extension in the lockdown in their state made the APSRTC halt the bookings to Hyderabad city. Already Railways has halted the bookings till April 30th hinting us that the extension of lockdown is inevitable.
