The BJP’s government is very confused about the lockdown situation in the country and the other side the cases have grown exponentially. Yesterday the registered number of COVID-19 positives cases is the highest since the outbreak of the Pandemic in the country.
Considering this critical situation, PM Narendra Modi held a meeting with all the parliamentary leaders from the various regional parties in which both Telugu states have opined differently on the extension of the lockdown.
As expected, Telangana Chief Minister who is much worried about the growing number of cases has already put the hotspots in Hyderabad and various other districts. He wanted to extend the lockdown to the end of the month.
He suggested that the lockdown should be continued till April 30 at the minimum with a bit of relaxation till June 1st week, such that things will be under control.
On the other side, Jagan is not so favourable to the extension of the lockdown. Avoiding the uproar his words may cause, tactically AP CM Jagan’s emissary MP Vijaysai Reddy is said to have asked the Prime Minister to consider opening up lock down in areas where there is no corona scare.
While KCR wants the lockdown to be extended to the end of May considering the drastic increase in the number of cases, Jagan suggested that lockdown be implemented only in hotspots and leave other areas scout free.
