Andhra Pradesh State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar held a video conference with all district collectors and SPs on the Gram Panchayat elections along with Chief Secretary Adityanath Das and DGP Gautam Sawang from the Vijayawada EC office.
Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar asked the officials to utilize technology in the conduct of elections.
He said that a special app was being developed to monitor the voting process. He told the Information department that it was their primary duty to bring to notice of the SEC any issues that could directly or indirectly affect the elections.
He asked the district collectors and SPs to focus more on the leaders as the consensus is growing indefinitely.
Ramesh Kumar said that the EC was committed to the smooth conduct of elections. He said that he was prepared to go to court if the SEC duties were violated.
