AP employees to get a closure soon?

Andhra Pradesh government employees have been requesting the AP government to settle their pending salaries, pensions and other benefits they’re entitled to, for several months now. They have also been requesting the government to implement the employee PRC commission. With the government not responding to their requests, they have begun a protest.

During AP CM Jagan’s inspection of the flood-affected areas of Saraswati Nagar in Tirupati, some government employees met with the CM and urged him to announce the report of the Pay Revision Commission and implement the same. He is said to have told them that the PRC report is ready and that it would be announced by December 10th.

The employee unions are said to have come to the decision that they would take up agitations if the PRC report is not announced by December 10th and if no action is taken. On the other hand, there are reports that the Jagan government might not offer more than 27 per cent of fitment for the employees, while they are demanding at least 40 per cent. A midway solution is expected to be arrived at.
