Acharya unit recently flew to Yellendu, Khammam district for a week-long schedule and crucial scenes featuring Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan were supposed to be shot in this schedule.
However, the latest reports suggest that this schedule of Acharya has been called off abruptly due to unforeseen conditions.
Apparently, the temperatures at Yellendu open cast mines are abnormally high, making it almost impossible for the movie unit to shoot in outdoor locations. So, the makers had to cancel the shoot just three days into the schedule.
It is also said that Chiranjeevi could not bear the challenging weather conditions and even fell ill due to dehydration.
As of now, the schedule remains cancelled and the makers will be taking the final call on shoot after assessing the options in front of them.
Acharya is slated for worldwide theatrical release on 13th May and the unit is working round the clock to get things done on time.
It is known that Koratala Siva is helming the social drama and Kajal Aggarwal and Pooja Hegde are playing lady leads in it. Matinee Entertainments and Konidela Productions are bankrolling the project.
