YSRCP losing its grip on Vizag!

As the days pass by, the internal conflicts and groupisms in the YSRCP seem to be only increasing. Every single constituency, district and any other section of the state is plagued with groupisms with the YSRCP, which are ruining the party’s reputation, and only jeopardizing its future prospects of winning in the state. The latest area to join this list is Visakhapatnam, the YSRCP’s eye candy and its gateway to the Northern part of the state.

The YSRCP has the support of 11 MLAs and a TDP rebel MLA in the area and is yet losing its grip on the area, seemingly. The YSRCP cadre recently took to the streets against the local MLAs in both Payakaraopet and Vizag South, which had an adverse effect on the recent local body elections, where the YSRCP performed below par. On the other hand, the YSRCP made MLA Gudivada Amarnath, its Kapu face in North Andhra, the president of the Anakapalli Lok Sabha constituency.

This appointment is causing further friction in the party, with Amarnath’s supporters saying that he was made the president of the Anakapalli constituency as Kapus are the dominant community in the area, and because of his hard work. Amarnath’s detractors though are saying that he was given the post as a way of being denied a place in the cabinet by Jagan. On the whole, the YSRCP is diving up everywhere, with lots of internal wars going public and tarnishing the party which is already suffering from various administrative problems in the state. It is now to be seen how this will affect the party’s political future.
