Latest reports from the sources reveal that Aditya Chopra had been prepping up for the master plan for YRF (Yash Raj Films) 50 which was kept under wraps. Subsequent to getting permits for 100% seating capacity in theatres, YRF is certain to announce the celebration plan with consecutive grand releases of a slew of Hindi films.
YRF has the massive slate in B town and they are the only studio to roll out four new big films in the pandemic.
It was learnt that Aditya Chopra had initially planned YRF 50 announcement in 2020 itself to happen at the theatres but deferred due to covid impact and is adhering to the same now. When all the filmmakers were switching gears to digital space, Yash Raj production house went against the new normal and sticked to it’s ambitious plan of releasing only in theatres.
The source further added YRF is going to announce five new films and also would provide further details about Prithviraj, Shamshera, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Bunty Aur Babli 2 and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar in the 50th anniversary.
“Apart from the huge slate, Aditya Chopra will also reveal other big ideas that will earmark how Yash Raj Films, the oldest and the biggest film production company in India, will celebrate their 50th year in business”, the source reported.
