The YCP won most of the corporations and municipalities in the AP Municipal polls. The opposition parties are going out of sight in Andhra Pradesh.
The YCP won the Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, and Guntur Municipal Corporations, which the TDP has been hoping for. In Visakhapatnam, YCP has won in 58 divisions out of a total of 98 divisions while TDP has won 30 divisions, four divisions were won by Janasena and six by others.
In Vijayawada, YCP won 34 divisions out of 64 divisions while TDP won ten divisions. The counting of votes continues in the remaining divisions.
Except for Tadipatri and Maidukuru, the YCP has carried out a clean sweep in the state. The YCP party leaders are overjoyed with the results of the local body polls.
