YSRCP Nandikotkur MLA Arthur Thoguru has switched loyalties right before the election as he has quit his YSR Congress outfit and joined Congress in the presence of YS Sharmila.
Arthur had been disappointed with the YSR Congress high command for the last few days as he not received any assurances for the Nandikotkur MLA ticket. After a while, the party replaced Arthur with another candidate and this is why he has decided to quit the party.
Arthur then reacted quickly as he planned an alternative move and joined AP Congress in the presence of Sharmila today. He is apparently promised the Nandikotkur Congress ticket and will contest on the party’s behalf in the 2024 elections.
It has to be seen if this party switch will be helpful for the YCP MLA or if it will backfire.
