CM Jagan commented at a meeting with collectors that the Parishad elections should be completed in six days. The state government is alleging that the authorities are deliberately trying to skip the hold of zonal and Zilla council elections.
Nimmagadda is sending back the additional staff appointed on deputation in the office of the Commission for Local Body Elections to their workplaces.
However, the petition filed by Janasena to re-issue the notification for the Parishad elections is still pending. SEC made it clear that the election process will continue only after the verdict of the High court.
But the state government seems to be more excited regarding the Parishad elections on seeing the victory in Panchayat and Municipal polls. It seems the government is trying to hold the polls before the retirement of Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar.
