Will the TDP’s support sway the BJP?

Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been trying for quite some time to get back in the good book of the BJP. He even reportedly approached the BJP leadership behind the scenes and asked if they could once again be allies like they were in the past. However, the BJP central leadership hasn’t been showing any interest, considering the fact that Naidu had seriously bad-mouthed PM Narendra Modi in public, on several occasions.

Now, the TDP has extended unconditional support to the BJP, with respect to the BJP’s Presidential candidate. Talking about the same, Naidu said that the TDP has always stood by social justice, and that it would continue to do so for years to come. He said that this is why the TDP chose to stand by the BJP’s Presidential candidate, Draupadi Murmu, a tribal woman from West Bengal.

Considering that the BJP has continued to look sideways when it comes to teaming up with the TDP for so many months now, it should now be seen if the TDP’s gesture would sway the BJP to consider TDP as its ally once again.
