Why can’t Mukesh Ambani clear Anil’s dues? – Supreme Court

Reliance Group which was the child of Dhirubhai Ambani got split into half after his death. Anil Ambani who got the telecom business which was booming that time was on a positive edge compared to Mukesh. Later on, Anil’s businesses shrunk to major extent and finally went into negative numbers. Mukesh on the other hand raised to the peak and is one of the World’s richest men.

It seems that Mukesh’s Jio has been using Anil Ambani’s RCom Spectrum from 2016 for negligible price. Recently Jio raised 1.5 lakh crores investment and at this point the Supreme Court questioned on why can’t Mukesh pay Anil’s dues for the Telecom Sector.

The judges of the Supreme Court stated that the Spectrum is Government’s property and no one can use it for free. Supreme Court has ordered to submit the deal papers between Mukesh and Anil’s Telecom companies. On the other hand, court ordered the Telecom Sector to submit the list of dues of the Ambanis.
