Who is hindering YS Viveka’s murder case investigation..?

The tragic murder incident of the popular politician YS Vivekananda Reddy has created a sensation during the pre-poll period. After so many twists and turns followed by a series of controversies and allegations, the case was finally handed over to the CBI by the YS Jagan led AP government.

However, there are allegations that the CBI haven’t been provided minimum assistance to investigate the Viveka Murder case. The authorities did not give all the records to the CBI. CBI officials have been trying for a long time for records. Eventually they had to resort to the High Court as their attempts failed. They are trying to investigate even if they are not given by the authorities and trying their best based on the records in the court.

To this extent, CBI has asked the Pulivendula Magistrate to give all the records related to the YS Vivekanandareddy murder case. However, the Pulivendula magistrate refused to give them the reason for the order. With this, the lower court should be ordered to hand over all the records to them. The CBI has filed a petition in the high court.

The High Court has started hearing on this case. So far, a team has been investigating the Viveka murder case in two terms. However some of the core team members are infected with COVID and the responsibility was handed over to the new team. The new team has registered a case in Delhi.

DSP Deepak Gaur has been appointed as the investigating officer in the case. Initially, Viveka’s murder case was registered by the police as a suspicious death under section 174 of the CRPC. Therefore, the CBI re-registered it under IPC 302. The YS Viveka murder case, which took place before the last elections, became a political sensation.
