Who can put STOP to JNU violence?

The heinous activities of some miscreants reached to the whole next level as nearly 26 people, including 22 students, were injured after masked miscreants with sticks and rods caused violence inside Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) for close to three hours on Sunday evening.

According to reports from the spot, a mob of outsiders, brandishing lathis, from Munirka area had entered the campus. The miscreants have now reportedly fled.

Earlier, the Akhil Bhartiya Vidhayrthi Parishad (ABVP) accused Left students of vandalising the Periyar hostel of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) and severely injuring various students present inside the hostel.

Home Minister Amit Shah’s office has released a statement following violence inside Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus. Shah instructed Delhi Police Commissioner to take necessary action, the statement said.

He has also ordered an enquiry to be carried out by a Joint CP level officer and asked for a report to be submitted as soon as possible, the statement added.

These kind of mass attacks usually gets compromised as there were students involved in it. But this is the high time for the BJP to step up and act as efficiently as possible considering this as an alarming issue regarding the ongoing situation in the country.

More ever, the Police should take certain measures to prevent this kind of horrible situations by creating awareness among the students.
