Any political party in power usually makes it a point to celebrate the swearing-in anniversary of the Chief Minister. Given that KCR swore in as the Chief Minister of Telangana for the second consecutive time on December 13th, 2018, winning more than 100 seats, and with massive support from the people, one would expect the TRS to celebrate his swearing-in ceremony.
However, this was not the case, with the TRS members being very silent on the day. The main reason for this is being cited as the fact that KCR is himself not in the state, as he is currently touring Tamil Nadu, along with his son KTR and a few other close family members. KCR is visiting various temples along with his family, and the TRS members are not said to have received any sort of instructions for the celebration of KCR’s swearing-in ceremony.
On the other hand, it is also being said that the main reason for not celebrating is the loss that the TRS party faced in the Huzurabad by-elections, where the BJP won with a good margin. The TRS is currently said to be focused on getting back the people’s support, and not on other activities.
