Water wars for Huzurabad by-elections!

The Huzurabad constituency is up for by-elections, following the ousting of its minister, Etela Rajender, by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. Chief Minister KCR is leaving no stone unturned to make sure that the people of the constituency are on his side and the TRS’s side. Etela has a soft spot in the constituency as he was a part of the movement for the state of Telangana. The people of Huzurabad are known to be high on the feelings of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, and judging by the resurrected water wars between AP and Telangana, a plan seems to be in place.

CM KCR recently stated that he would not back off when it comes to the water issues of the state. He said that he would go to the Centre and do anything to make sure that Telangana gets the amount of water it deserves. KCR fired on the RDS Right canal construction, and on the construction of the Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation project. This issue is now being highlighted on a channel that is allies with the CMs of both the states, which is now surprising everyone.

Fact is that KCR resolved any sort of water disputes with other neighbouring states like Maharashtra and Karnataka, which is why it’s difficult to process and believe that the issues that Telangana and AP are facing over water are unresolvable. KCR and Jagan remain to be friends on a personal level and have supported each other on various occasions, which now makes it difficult to buy into the fact that they are at war with the other over water disputes.

Experts say that this is a plan that KCR came up with this plan, to make sure that the TRS wins the Huzurabad by-elections.
