Telugu Indian Idol Season 1 has finally ended with Young talented singer BVK Vagdevi from Nellore lifting the maiden trophy of the show.
After nearly 15 weeks of the run, the Telugu version of the reality show had its finale on June 17. BVK Vagdevi, who bagged the trophy, also won Rs 10 lakh cash prize for clinching the victory. The second place was bagged by Sreenivas who won Rs 3 lakh, followed by Vaishnavi who took home Rs 2 lakh.
Megastar Chiranjeevi, who graced the finale as the chief guest, presented the coveted trophy along with the prize money of Rs. 10 lakh. Vagdevi was also awarded an additional Rs. 6 lakh. The show also saw Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi giving some amazing performances. Telugu Indian Idol Season 1 was judged by Thaman S, Nitya Menon, and Karthik.
BVK Vagdevi speaking about the huge win, said, “I would like to thank the judges, mentors and all the people for the immense support and love I received on these 15 weeklong journeys of Telugu Indian Idol. My rigorous effort over the past few months has finally paid off with this accomplishment.”
