Visakhapatnam is probably the most beautiful city in entire Andhra Pradesh. This city is economically viable for any sector and is the one and only Tier-1 city on AP. But the same city is giving nightmares to the AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Jagan has been eyeing Visakhapatnam from 2014 and he has been in thoughts of making it as AP Capital but Chandra Babu proposed Amaravati by influencing the sentiments of the AP people for which Jagan supported as he was left with no other choice. Now, even with 151 MLAs at his side, his dreams are being shattered for many reasons.
Mainly, Vizag’s geographical position is very much complicated. On the east, it has seashore that possess an imminent threat of cyclones and Tsunamis. At the back of the city, there are hills so, at the time of threats, the city can’t move backward for a temporary stay. The Vizag City roughy has a circumference of about 40-50 km and they can’t escape from a major natural disaster.
Now, the repeated gas leakage incidents are more a headache to the AP Chief Minister. After the LG Polymer Gas leak incident, another incident happened, in no time another gas leakage accident happened in Pharma City.
If the capital shifts, more industries will be established in the capital city which will do nothing but increase the risk of these kinds of accidents. So, TDP is using all these things as weapons against Jagan to prevent Vizag from becoming the AP Capital and even people started to think more efficiently on Jagan’s proposal.
