Vivaha Bhojanambu is a comedy entertainer movie directed by Ram Abbaraju. The film stars Satya, Sundeep Kishan and Aarjavee in the lead roles along with Sudarshan, Srikanth Iyyengar, Subbaraya Sharma, Thummala Narsimha Reddy, Harsha Chemudu, Sivannarayana Naripeddi, Madhumani, Nitya Sree and many others in supporting roles. It is produced by K.S Sinish and Sundeep Kishan. The film is Sundeep Kishan’s third film as a producer.

Story:

Mahesh is a penny-pinching miser, who gets married in the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic. Although the bride’s father (played by Srikanth Iyengar) does not like Mahesh at all, for some reason he has to agree to the match. By the time Mahesh gets married, the unexpected nationwide lockdown gets imposed, and it forces him to feed his in-laws and their many relatives for days. When he goes for a low-cost wedding, the lockdown puts him in a huge monetary burden. The rest is the story of how Mahesh deals with the situations and his relatives.

What about on-screen performances?

The biggest attraction of Vivaha Bhojanambu is the comedian Satya who became the lead actor in this film. He gave a mesmerizing performance. His character makes sure the audience is involved in the film.

The heroine, Aarjavee as Anitha, has nothing big to say about. She does not get much content and is okay with her acting skills. Sundeep Kishan did his part well, but his role was not so fruitful.

Srikanth Iyengar seemed fine in a role similar to the hero. His extreme acting in some scenes is annoying. Sudarshan once again impressed with the Nellore accent and made his presence felt with good comedy timing.

What about off-screen talents?

Director Ram Abbaraju filled the movie with very simple scenes. There are some highlights in the story cooked by Ram Abbaraju with writer Bhanu. However, the two failed to take it next level. The comedy in this story still has good scope but has not been used. Ram Abbaraju gets moderate marks as a director. Since the film is mostly based on lockdown situations, we can get to connect with many scenes which we have really seen in the real world.

AniVee’s background score is okay and there is nothing new in it. The theme music, ‘What Man’ is funny and arouses interest in Satya’s character. The ABCD song is one of the best songs in the film.

S. ManiKandan’s camera work is impressive. The visuals are effective within the existing limits.

What’s Hot?

Sathya’s Comedy Timing
Scenes involved in Lockdown Backdrop

What’s Not?

Predictable story
Flashback and Climax
Directionless screenplay

Verdict: With not many interesting elements in the store, Vivaha Bhojanambu is a passable film. Can try for a digital watch.
