Central Government has brought in a new rule through the Finance Bill 2021 to impose a fine of Rs.1000 on those who do not link Aadhaar card with their PAN card. The Finance Bill also brought in Section 234H of the new Income Tax Act. Through which a penalty is imposed. It has set a deadline of March 31st.
But now, the central government has decided to extend the deadline to June 30. The central government said that the deadline will extend to June 30 due to Covid-19.
Therefore, those who have not linked their Aadhaar with a PAN card can link by June 30. The central government has extended the PAN Aadhaar link deadline several times in the past. Now it has decided to extend it once again.
