The Union government has announced the prices of the corona vaccine in private hospitals. The union govt has fixed a price of Rs.780 for Covshield, Rs.1410 for Covaxin, and Rs.1,145 for Sputnik-V. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation and said that states should no longer have to spend a single penny on vaccines. The Union govt has decided to provide free vaccinations to all those above 18 years of age in the country from June 21.
As part of this, the Union govt announced that it has ordered over 44 crore doses of vaccines from vaccine manufacturing companies. It is reported that the Union govt has placed huge orders of Covshield and Covaxin vaccine doses.
