Recently, the Union Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change approved the permits for the Kadapa steel plant.
The state government has submitted proposals to the Center on December 20, 2020, for environmental clearances for the Kadapa steel plant.
Again this January 29th the Environmental Impact Assessment Report was added to the proposals and sent these proposals with several amendments.
Government sources said that after considering the proposals, environmental clearances were granted to the Kadapa steel plant as per the 2006 notification.
AP High-Grade Steels Ltd will set up a steel plant in Sunnapurallapalle and Peddanandalur villages in the Kadapa district. As part of the Green Belt, 12.10 lakh saplings will be planted in five years on 33 percent of the project area, or 484.4 hectares.
