A proud exponent of the culturally significant Kinnera music instrument and the recipient of Padma Shri award, Kinnera Mogulaiah shot to fame with Bheemla Nayak’s title song. He saw a stark rise in popularity with this song but now again, he is back in a pitiful condition.
Mogulaiah has turned a daily wage worker again and related pics and videos are trending on social media now.
The artist said, “My monthly ₹10,000 honorarium sanctioned by the state government was discontinued recently. I’m not sure why it happened. He claims that along with the ₹1 crore grant, the state had also announced the allotment of a 600-square-yard plot in Rangareddy district for the artist. However, the allotment is still pending.
It is really said to see such a talented exponent of a fast-dying culturally significant craft of Telangana going through so many hardships at this point in his life. The Revanth Reddy government must act swiftly on this.
